5 life hacks for a child’s illness: what every mom needs to know

All children sometimes get sick and every mother knows that there is not much to enjoy about this. In this issue I will tell you about my life hacks, which greatly facilitate the life of mom.

Lifehack 1: We treat with your favorite toy

If the child does not want to take medicine or follow the doctor’s recommendations, my favorite baby toy comes to my aid.

I tell Amalia that her beloved bear, Timmy, has just gotten sick and has the same symptoms. Timmy agrees to be treated, so he drinks medicine, and now he goes to listen to a fairy tale.

The example of a little friend, as a rule, acts encouragingly on the child and mother becomes a little easier.

Lifehack 2: Keeping It Clean

A runny nose is a constant sniffing and a ton of disposable handkerchiefs. In order not to collect used paper handkerchiefs throughout the house, I connected 2 boxes with an elastic band - empty and with napkins. She explained to Amalia that used napkins should be put into the empty.

It is not only convenient, but also hygienic. The child will not be able to reach for the already used napkin.

Lifehack 3: Making Delicious Medicines

Children do not like pills, but sometimes you still have to drink them. I grind the tablet, and add the resulting powder to jelly, honey or jam. The child eats with pleasure the delicacy prepared for him, and along with him the medicine.

Never add bitter tablets to your usual baby food. This can cause the child to disgust or refuse food.

Lifehack 4: Making a Medication Schedule

When a child is ill with her mother, worries are added and it is simply impossible to keep everything in mind. In order not to get confused, I gave the baby medicine or not, I draw a table on each bank with a schedule of admission: in column 1 I indicate the day of the week, and in 2 and 3 - the time of day - morning and evening. I mark with a cross in the right column the time when I gave the child the medicine. (see video)

Lifehack 5: Gymnastics

Constipation in young children is a serious problem that needs to be addressed promptly by contacting a specialist. But stimulation of the intestines will not be superfluous. To do this, do exercises on the press.

How to make a child do them? Very simple! We conduct gymnastics in a playful way. I ask Amalia to pick up the toys from the floor, not crouching, but leaning toward them, or put a toy on her tummy. The task of the child is to throw off the toy without hands, only by inflating the tummy.

How stupid it may sound, but you need to be sick cheerfully. Then, it seems to me, in a child, even a minor cold is easier. Children, like all adults, during this period want increased attention and indulging whims.
