difficult birth

Ekaterina, 30 years old

“I wanted to give birth in a perinatal center, intending to pay a fairly large amount. But, unfortunately, everything went completely wrong. Closer to the DA, I managed to get sick and therefore could not go there at the right time. And on 41 weeks the doctor from the antenatal clinic sends me to the pathology department to stimulate the birth. From that moment, my torture began.

On the first day of the hospital, they were not going to do anything at all with me - the uterus opened by only 1 finger. The next day, the nurse brought a pill that made me feel sick right away, and then injected something in order to soften my neck. On the evening of the third day, a special gel was introduced into the vagina, thanks to which the process still started. Intolerable fights began, with which I tormented until the next night. Then the cork came off, and the uterus opened by 4 fingers. Former strong battles gave way to less intense ones.

Later I was transferred to the prenatal ward and put 2 droppers with oxytocin. But it didn’t help either! Disclosure went very slowly, labor was still as weak, and his mind was already clouded with pain. The change of view supplemented the picture. Another midwife constantly shouted that I was lying wrong and could crush a child, completely did not pay attention to me and behaved in a boorish manner. Finally, attempts began and after a medical examination I was “allowed” to give birth. However, they were in no hurry to take them to Rodzal. Imagine, I lay in the prenatal until the baby’s head appeared !!! Only after that I was transferred to a gurney and taken to the delivery room, where oxytocin was injected again. At that time, about 20 hours had passed since the birth. 6 of them the baby was left without amniotic fluid. In addition, a double cord entanglement was diagnosed.

Then there was real hell. I was tied to a chair, the midwife was screaming all the time, I tried my best to keep pushing, continuing to lie under the dropper, which was completely forbidden ... I had almost no strength left, nobody did an epizootic, everything was torn inside. However, I did not feel these breaks - for me the whole process was one huge pain. It only became easier for me after my daughter appeared. Then I was somehow sewn up and left to lie in the corridor for as long as 2 hours. The child was brought only after 4 hours. She was also not very lucky - during the delivery, the doctors brought in staphylococcus, so her eyes were festering, and the skin that was left without lubrication was dry. This is how my birth took place - late (at 42 weeks), painful and with green waters. Three years have passed since then, but memory keeps slipping unpleasant memories. One thing is for sure - I no longer plan children. ”

Elena, 20 years old

“I hasten to reassure you - this is not the case with everyone, so there is no need to worry in advance. The forerunners of my birth appeared late in the evening. My husband and I went to the hospital. The midwife examined and announced that there was no disclosure yet, but the cervix was completely ready for childbirth. They made an enema, after which the cork immediately went off and a series of strong attempts came. It seemed like they were cutting me with a knife inside. Contractions became so frequent that I could barely breathe. I remember, I was surprised then - how some of them still manage to sleep during fights!

Having barely survived until 4 in the morning, I went to the doctor. It turned out that the uterus opened only 1 finger. At 11 in the morning - by 2.5 fingers, at 5 in the evening - only at 4. I was again given an enema and taken to the road block. The 6-finger disclosure was accompanied by such terrible pain that I begged to put me to sleep, do a cesarean or shoot me right now. 8 fingers became one terrible fight, from which I screamed like a cut. With great difficulty, I still began to give birth. The intimate place burned as if it was torn. After 3 attempts, my son was born, leaving behind 2 cracks and terrible pain in the abdomen. And so it turned out that I endure pain very poorly. "

Tatyana, 24 years old

“My birth was difficult both physically and morally. The first bouts were very easy. I entered the antenatal department in a good hospital. The indicators are excellent, the cork has not moved away, the disclosure is one finger, ultrasound and CT scan are ideal. Then they gave a tablet of Miropriston, which worked after 8 hours. The whole day passed in fights that I did not celebrate. In the evening I drank another 1 tablet. By 22 hours, the contractions became stronger. After examination, it turned out that the disclosure was only 2.5 fingers, but the doctor pierced the bubble without warning. The drained waters were clear. I was given an enema and told to go to the shower.

At midnight, she returned to the delivery room. They did CTG there. Contractions were strong, but the disclosure was very slow. At 2 a.m., it remained 2 fingers. I already started yelling, the doctor came. At 4 a.m., the uterus opened by only 4.5 fingers. I started a raving. The midwife hit me on the cheeks, the material, tugged at my arms and legs. I asked for anesthesia - some anesthetic was injected into the buttock. The injection did not help, but vomiting began. I realized: something is going wrong. It turned out that the umbilical cord wrapped around the neck of the child. I had almost no strength left, I began to behave inappropriately, and this bastard just left me in the birthplace to die. At the same time she said a lot of unpleasant things and assured me that I was giving birth to a dead baby. I was tormented until the morning, until another midwife through the vagina untangled the umbilical cord and manually opened the cervix to 7.5 fingers. She also took birth. Twice I fainted, and an evil midwife scolded me, called me obscene words and doused me with water. I no longer had the strength to push, and the head still did not pass. I was cut right up to the anus, the neck was torn, a couple more cuts were made. I barely gave birth to the head, and then the blue body of my girl. They put the girl on my stomach. She did not even scream, but only after a few seconds began to make sounds. On the Apgar scale - 7 points.

To convey what I felt at that moment, there are no words in any language of the world. The crotch was sewn up, and I was transferred to the ward. Only there it dawned on me that I could lose my child. All my life I will be grateful to that midwife for saving my daughter. She didn’t make a complaint about another doctor - she simply didn’t have enough nerves. But it is a pity that it is because of such terrible and inattentive doctors that many are afraid of childbirth. Take care of yourself and your children! ”
