In these strollers, the children are next to each other. Depending on the model, the kids are placed with your back or face to you; there are models in which children are facing each other; the backs recline fully or partially; seats are located on one or different levels.
- The stroller is quite narrow - it fits in the elevator, it’s easy to drive into the store with it, it’s not difficult to drive such a stroller.
- Of the shortcomings - heavy, takes up a lot of space in the apartment. The view of one of the children is limited.
3. Transformer
“Transformer” Stroller with changing boxes and seats. In such strollers, children can be placed next to each other, face-to-face, one seat / cradle higher than another lower. Also, kids can be placed on / against the course of movement. There is an opportunity for one child to establish a "sitting" mode, and for another - "sleeping". The disadvantage of such strollers is a lot of weight.
- You can put only one cradle or seat, if you need to go somewhere with only one child;
- You buy only one stroller, which suits you even when the children have grown up or the warm season has come. There is no need to urgently look for a stroller.
General recommendations for selection
- Is a stroller needed: not everyone needs a double stroller. Some moms get by with a regular stroller and sling or kangaroo. This option is good for active mothers who are not going to limit themselves in movement in connection with the future status of many children. Perhaps such mothers would not refuse to have a high-tech stroller with a non-standard arrangement of seats, but the high cost of the latter is not always justified.
- Price Criteria: be realistic - decide how much you are willing to spend on a stroller and try not to back down from your plan. A reasonable budget is a sign of rationality, not saving on children. For parents of twins, this rule is very useful in the next 18 years.
- Weight and dimensions: Visualize your future walks in great detail. Children are dressed and ready to go out - what's next? Where is the stroller? How do passengers get into it? Who is helping you? Are you ready to stretch the stroller rib through the two doorways and lower the stairs if it does not fit into the elevator? If the attic of your house has a separate room with a double door and a ramp for a stroller, then do not rush to rejoice - think about how you will put the stroller in the car for transportation. Do not be lazy - take a tape measure and remeasure all potentially problem areas that fall into the trajectory of the future movement of the stroller - come prepared to the store.
- Season: winter children sleep a lot on the street and mothers spend hours pushing strollers through the snowdrifts - large wheels are required in such a stroller. For summer kids, a stroller and less bulky wheels will do.
- Accessories: raincoats, bags, mosquito nets - all this can be bought separately, but the price of separately purchased accessories will ultimately be higher. If you think that you do not need these little things, that is, strollers in the basic configuration, where you will not overpay for extra devices.
