- Once on Avito, I saw an ad for the sale of baby bottle warmers. It seemed to me that it would be very convenient. But soon I became convinced that this was an absolutely unnecessary thing: the baby sucked out the milk completely, and I prepared the mixture every time fresh. The bottle heats up very slowly, and not every model fits into the heater.
- Preparing to become a mother, I looked at various forums, attended master classes by needlewomen. I sewed a comfort envelope on my own by purchasing pre-bright fabric and a warm lining. But the kid did not like it, it was too hot. He liked to sleep open.
- My mom knits well. She created many beautiful clothes for her grandson: socks, booties, blouses, suits. She connected and a beautiful cocoon. Well, he slept in him about two times, but then he grew up, and I did not use the cocoon anymore. It’s good that it could be dissolved and something else connected.
- The mother-in-law, wanting to contribute to the dowry of the newborn grandson, bought bikes and chintz vests without buttons. Once dressed children like this: the undershirt is light, the undershirt is warm, the diaper is light, the diaper is warm. Now, no one swaddles, and the baby's undershirts either swing open, then bully under the sliders. Slips and overalls are much more convenient.
- About 8 small bonnets were purchased. None of them fit my son’s head. If we take hats, then of different sizes, but it is advisable to do this after the birth of the baby, when it will be possible to measure the volume of the head.
- Among the little things to care for the baby, I did not need baby scissors. Trimming small nails with them is almost impossible: they themselves are thick, cut very poorly. It’s easier to do it neatly with manicure scissors.
- For bathing, I bought a beautiful bath and a slide for it, so that I could put a baby on it and free my hands. But in the water the slide became slippery, the child crawled from it, had to hold it, which was completely uncomfortable.
- Special terry bathing mitten. It seems very soft in appearance, but after being used several times, it became stiff when dried. I refused it, because the child has very delicate skin.
- In advance, I purchased both baby powder and Bepanten ointment for diaper rash. But my child had everything in order with the skin, these purchases were not useful.
- Our friends gave us a “kangaroo” backpack so that, taking a child with us, we could walk with them to the park. This device is calculated on 10 kg of weight.Try to drag that weight for an hour or more. A child in such a backpack sits with a bent back, which is by no means useful. It is much easier to go for a walk with a stroller.
These are just some of the things that we did not need or were used minimally. And how many rattles, gurneys, rodents and other toys flooded the nursery! My advice to all women preparing to become mothers: before you buy any thing for your unborn child, think about whether he needs it.
