Daily outdoor exercise tempers the child and contributes to better health. In addition, on the street, in the courtyard, in the park, the kid gets acquainted with the outside world, receives new impressions and positive emotions. Therefore, it is very important to add variety to the daily exercise of the child so that he does not lose interest in walking.
Camping Games
Time spent on the way to a kindergarten, a children's playground or a shopping trip can be spent for the benefit of the child thanks to the so-called “hiking” games that do not require any equipment.
"Survey of the surroundings"
While walking, introduce the child to new objects and interesting natural phenomena, not forgetting to give them a characteristic and describe the properties. Allow the child to touch them and comment on their feelings. For example, snow is cold, sand is loose, grass is wet after rain, and the bark of a tree is rough. Draw your baby's attention to such trifles as broken buds on trees, sparrow tweets, clouds moving across the sky.
Older children need to introduce learning elements into the observation process. Explain to the child why the moss on the trees grows more from the north side, why some birds fly away to warm places in autumn, etc. During the walk, the baby himself will ask you a lot of additional questions that you need to answer as detailed as possible.
"Bookkeepers"
You can measure the distance between objects, such as a house and a store, in steps. Or arrange a contest, who more accurately determines at the sight the number of steps on a certain segment of the path.
Learning to count can be another fun way - by counting the same objects encountered in the process of movement. It can be birds, people or cars.
"The words"
Spend time on the road for an informative game. Invite your child to come up with words that begin with the last letter of the previous one. To complicate the task, change the rules of the game: select one topic (names, plants, items of clothing or utensils), name the words consisting of a certain number of letters (3, 4, 5) or starting with a specific letter.
Company walks
If you take a walk in the company of several children, you also need to organize entertainment for them.
“Well, guess!”
Put a small object (chestnut, keys, candy) in your pocket and invite the children to guess it. Children can ask leading questions, but no more than 10.
"Young biologist"
In the summer, children are happy to chase butterflies. Equally interesting to collect grasshoppers or ladybugs. Just explain to the kid that after playing insects you need to be set free.
"Who is first?"
Invite the children to race to the nearest facility, such as a tree, bench or swing. You can overcome the distance with a duck step or by jumping rope.

In the fall, give the children a task to collect fallen leaves, flowers and explain how to make a herbarium from them correctly. During the collection process, describe with children the color and shape of the plants, the trees on which they grew. In winter, show the children how to draw with a stick in the even snow. Arrange a contest for the most successful drawing.
Walking with children, add variety to the usual route. Let the children take the initiative and imagination on their own.
