The character of an adult begins to form in early childhood. The main role in the development of certain qualities is played by the attitude of parents to the child. Psychologists say that the character of the baby is laid in infancy.
Relationship classification
There are three types of relationships between mother and child:
- Safe relationship. In such relationships, the child is surrounded by care, attention. He feels protected and careless, confident in parental love and his significance. Parents quickly respond to the wishes and needs of their baby, talk with him. Such relationships evoke only positive emotions in the child, they teach to trust others, to be kind and responsive. In such an atmosphere, a child grows a self-confident person with a positive self-esteem and a sense of inner comfort.
- Avoiding relationship. These relationships are characterized by neglect by the parents of their child. The principle of "cry and stop" causes the child a sense of indifference of parents to his person and uselessness. The environment seems hostile to him, it seems that he is alone against all. Over time, the child becomes hardened, ceases to demand attention and affection, and feels abandoned. Such relationships bring up complete indifference and indifference in the child to all those around him; he becomes cruel and callous without a hint of sympathy and pity.
- Unstable relationships. This type of relationship is characterized by inconsistent parental behavior. They can praise and punish for the same thing. Mom admires achievements, and dad punishes for excessive curiosity. The kid fell and cried, mom hugged and regretted, and yesterday scolded for not looking at his feet. The child is lost, does not understand what they want from him, how they relate to him, how to behave in the future. This line of behavior instills in the child uncertainty, doubts, and in adulthood he will always try to please everyone around him and will strongly depend on the object of adoration.
